About MeI am currently working as a Research Data Scientist in the Department of Computational Biomedicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. I completed my PhD in Computer Science in 2022 from the College of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before that, I got my B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India. My current research interests lie in Automated Machine Learning (AutoML), Fairness in AI, and Genetic Programming. My work focuses on developing AutoML tools that streamline the creation of predictive models for tasks such as disease diagnosis, outcome prediction, and risk assessment. These tools make AI more accessible to healthcare professionals who may have rich clinical data but limited machine learning expertise, enabling faster and more reliable data-driven decisions in medicine. I also study and mitigate inequities in predictive models to ensure that AI-powered medical tools are fair and reliable for all population groups. |
